Gorin is a large, athletic stallion with incredibly powerful movement. Born in Poland, then exported to the US as a three year old, he arrived just in time for the market crash-plans had been made to import him to the US as a weanling. However, paperwork for his export took several years. Gorin spent the next few years of his life learning the way of the racetrack, where he had an excellent but short record. Gorin was a 3 year old by the time the paperwork went through, at which time it was too late to rescind his sale from the Polish government. He was involved in some unfortunate circumstances once the owner was forced to sell most of their stock. He passed through multiple auctions, with and without his papers. Fortunately we were able to recover them after discovering this distinguished older stallion at an auction in the summer of 2004. Gorin was reunited with his heritage and we were happy to have acquired this diamond in the rough. Perfectly conformed and smoothbodied, he is the picture of the confident young race stallion he was. Though much older now, he was started under saddle as an English Pleasure horse, and may prove to have enough motion for Park. Gorin bridles easily, and is extremely balanced and forward-moving. He is well-conformed and quite handsome and masculine, so should also do well in the Halter arena. Gorin also has an excellent pedigree. He is by the wonderful Palas son Gondolier, who was a World Champion Stallion at the Salon Du Cheval. Gorin's dam, Algerina, was a Polish National Champion in 1982, and was a daughter of the incredible producer Algonkina. Gorin's pedigree is full of classic Polish greats like Witraz, Trypolis, Negatiw, Czort, not to mention many notable mares.
